Week 69 Statistics

Weigh in result: maintain

New weight: 11st 8.5lbs

Total loss so far: – 3st 3.5lbs

I didn’t lose any weight this week, but as long as I didn’t put anything on, I’m still pretty proud of myself – and I’m still the slimmest I’ve ever been in my life!

I think this is the perfect opportunity to talk about the way I fit Slimming World around my life as a 24 year old who loves to socialise. Particularly when it involve copious amounts of food and alcohol. Part of the reason I stopped attending group was due to the constant pressure to lose as much weight as possible every week, and to feel guilty about giving yourself a ‘cheat’ (I prefer ‘treat’) day or even a meal. Personally, I think that as long as you’re happy with losing a little less every week, a treat every now and again does you the world of good.

I have been following the plan for about a year and a half now, and there’s no way I could stick to it without my treat meals and nights out. I don’t see it as a diet, I see it as a lifestyle change, and believe it or not life doesn’t always want me to stick to plan. I was never going to be one of those (admittedly incredible) people who lose 8 or 10 stone in a year, but I’m happy with my 3.5 stone in 1.5 years; and as long as I’m going down rather than up, I think I’m doing okay.

Weekly Meal Plan

So half of this has already happened because I’m posting later than usual (I am meant to update you every Sunday, but I was massively hungover this week. Not sorry.)

  • Breakfast: Syn free full English (hexb toast, scrambled egg, beans, bacon, Linda McCartney rosemary and red onion sausages & mushrooms)
  • Lunch: We were running around everywhere, so grabbed an (off plan) sandwich from Asda. Plus some mini cheddars and a diet coke (obviously).
  • Dinner: We went to Prezzo in Lewes which was lovely! I had chicken with leeks and mushrooms (speed?) in a gorgonzola sauce with chips. Followed by wine and a LOT of vodka. Safe to say this was something of a treat day!


  • Brunch: We went to a little cafe in Brighton, and I tried to choose wisely – 2 poached eggs on granary bread with smoked salmon.
  • Dinner: Syn free sausages, mash, green beans and 2.5 syns of gravy
  • Snack: A sneaky homemade ice cream from the new shop around the corner. It had to be done!


  • Breakfast: Chocolate Weetabix minis (hexb) with almond milk (hexa)
  • Lunch: Ham & pasta salad (1 syn for mayo)
  • Dinner: Prawn Marie-Rose jacket potato & chopped salad (1.5 syns for sauce/dressing) with a glass of wine (6.5 syns)


  • Breakfast: Vanilla yoghurt, wholewheat muesli (hexb) and chopped strawberries
  • Lunch: Ham & pasta salad (1 syn for mayo)
  • Dinner: Out at Pompoko in Brighton. I went for the chicken rice bowl with honey, ginger & soy – with a gin & slimline or two afterwards!


  • Breakfast: Ham & mushroom omelette with beans
  • Lunch: Ham & pasta salad (1 syn for mayo)
  • Dinner: Burger in a Bowl (2 syns for the sauce, a few cheeky syns for burger cheese) & Slimming World chips


  • Breakfast: Overnight oats with mango & pineapple
  • Lunch: Tuna, potato & egg salad (1 syn for mayo)
  • Dinner: Slimming World lasagne & salad


  • Breakfast: Chocolate Weetabix Minis (hexb) with almond milk (part hexa)
  • Lunch: Tuna, potato & egg salad (1 syn for mayo)
  • Dinner: Slow Cooker fajita chicken & rice

    Well done and love your positivity. It took me 2yrs to lose 2.5st and get to target but I like you did it in my own time, little by little chipping away and eventually got to target this January. Good luck with your journey I like to call it taking the scenic route.
