Lush Hair & Skincare Haul – October 2016

Posted in Beauty by

Nothing makes me happier than waltzing out of Lush with an empty bank balance and a bag of both new goodies and tried-and-tested favourites. I didn’t go THAT mad with this little haul, but I did manage to pick up a few things I’ve been lusting after recently!

Naturally, I used every single product as soon as I got home (I was severely hungover and in need of a good scrub), so I’ve been able to give you my first thoughts everything I bought too. Yay!

Daddy-O Shampoo, £5.75 for 100g

With organic lemons and extra virgin coconut oil, Daddy-O shampoo is designed to add shine and vibrancy to blonde hair. It’s deep purple in colour, which works in combination with the lemon to remove any brassy tones, and I’ve already found (from just one wash!) that the blonde bits in my ombre hair is looking far healthier and has a lovely tone. It smells like parma violets, which it’s basically my dream to smell of all the time, so that’s a lovely bonus too! I also love that you need the tiiiiniest bit – seriously, I was a bit concerned about buying this little bottle, but it’s going to last forever!

American Cream Conditioner, £4.95 for 100g

American Cream is an old favourite of mine, and one I find myself returning to again and again. The smell is delicious (like strawberries and cream), and works especially well when layered with Daddy-O. I didn’t even need to wear perfume today because it lasts so well! My hair feels incredibly soft, and looks healthy and nourished – I couldn’t be happier!

Cup O’Coffee Face & Body Mask, £6.75 for 100g

I was very excited about this product which I believe is fairly new to Lush’s range. It’s applied like a face mask onto freshly cleansed skin, left for 15 minutes, and then washed off with warm water which allows the ground coffee to exfoliate and leave you feeling zingy and refreshed. By far the best bit, though, is that you don’t have to keep it in the fridge (like you do with Lush’s fresh face masks) and it keeps for far longer than any of the others that I’ve tried. It was perfect for reviving my tired skin after a heavy night out, and I think the smell (just like a strong mocha) helped to feel more alive as well!

Aqua Marina Face Wash, £7.25 for 100g

Although I enjoyed the Angels on Bare Skin cleanser I purchased on my last little Lush trip, my skin has been feeling a little oilier of late, so I decided to switch to something that might help to control that. Aqua Marina contains fresh Irish Moss seaweed and soothing calamine powder to absorb excess oil and leave your skin clear and beautiful, and the addition of a little sea salt works to gently exfoliate too. The smell isn’t my favourite – it’s a little seaweedy – but the benefits are fantastic and I think it will work wonders for my complexion!

Rose Jam Shower Gel, £4.95 for 100g

I love anything floral at the moment which is so weird cos I never used to be a floral kind of girl – maybe it’s my old lady side starting to creep out. Oh dear. Anyway, you might remember that in my last Lush haul I got the Rose Jam bubble bar which I LOVED, but I don’t really get the chance to have baths at the moment, so when I found out there was a shower gel version I knew I had to get my hands on it! I wasn’t disappointed either – the soft, sweet, floral scent lingers beautifully on the skin without being too overpowering, and my skin feels beautifully soft and moisturised.

If you’ve tried any of these products, or if there are any other Lush goodies you think I might like, please let me know in the comments!
