2 Steps to Perfect Brows

Posted in Beauty by

It’s been a while since I’ve talked beauty on here, and as you probably know by now, my eyebrows are the one thing I revisit time and time again. My brow ‘style’ (if you will) has taken a more natural turn recently, and I’ve been favouring powder with an angled brush when it comes to filling them in. I kind of cringe looking back at pictures from just a few months ago where I’ve gone overboard on the Benefit Ka-Brow – a fantastic product, but I think I was a little heavy handed. I should have let my natural brows do most of the talking, as they’re pretty full and well-shaped anyway. You live and you learn!

1. Pain-Free Grooming & Shaping

My brow routine has been massively simplified, with just two steps required to shape, fill and blend them. Whilst my choice of filler has chopped and changed, my real brow ‘holy grail’ is the Phillips Precision Perfect facial hair trimmer. The tiny electric facial shaver is perfect for grooming and shaping brows quickly, easily and precisely – just comb through unwanted hair! As someone with suuuuper thick and stubborn eyebrows, I did wonder whether it would be up to the job; but I needn’t have worried. It’s also fantastic for tidying up and trimming hair on the rest of your face too (shout out to my fellow PCOS honeys!). At only £19.99, it’s incredible value, and I’m so glad it found its way into my life.

I trim the stray hairs above my brows first, then shape underneath, and tidy up any strays in the middle. Ridiculously quick & easy!

2. Easy Filling & Blending

Once I’m happy with the shape of my brows, it’s time to fill them in. Using a Spectrum A17 angled brush and the HD Brows Powder Palette in Vamp, I start by defining the base of the brow, before blending the powder in an upwards motion for a natural finish. I add some additional definition to the outer top of the arch, and blend with a spoolie to complete the look.
